Since the 20th century nuclear warfare has been a continuing issue. Nuclear warfare would be extremely dangerous and could possibly end the world. Some options we could use to solve this issue are, let countries in the UN keep their nukes, detonate the nukes in space in order to dispose of them, or convert the materials used in the nukes into nuclear energy. The best option to solve this issue is to convert the materials into nuclear energy. We could not use the idea to only let countries in the UN keep there nukes because North Korea is not in the UN and therefore we could not regulate whether they have nukes or not, also, countries in the UN without nukes may be upset that the countries that have them can keep them. Launching the nukes into space would not work because there is still a high risk that launching something into space will fail, failure launching a nuke into space would be a disaster. Also the detonation of a nuke would cause a massive, possibly permanent, EMP. Converting the nuclear materials into nuclear energy is the most reasonable solution because it disarms the nuke and gives off a lot of usable energy. Incentives for countries to destroy there nukes would be that they would be able to keep all the energy produced from their nukes, for themselves.
